
Gismat Ibrahimov
Was born on July 2, 1966, in the village of Gecegezlu, Fuzuli region.
1973-1983, he studied at the Gecegezlu Village Secondary School, graduating with honors.
1983-1988, he pursued higher education at the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, graduating with honors from the Faculty of Automation of Communication Enterprises.
After graduating from the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, he was assigned by the USSR Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan SSR, where he began working as an engineer.
Began his professional career on August 1, 1988, as a Second-Grade Electrician in the electronic equipment repair department of the Baku Post Office under the Ministry of Communications.
1989–1990, he worked as a Sixth-Grade Locksmith at the Press Expedition Center of the “Azerbaijan”Publishing House, and later as a software engineer responsible for electronic equipment.
1990–1993, he served as Head of the Automation and Mechanization Department at the Baku Postal Service Production Association
1993–1994, he completed a one-year program in English Language and Diplomatic Relations at the National University of Modern Languages in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and was awarded a diploma.
1994–2004, He served as Deputy Director of the newly established International Relations and Accounting Centre under the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and later as General Director.
He represented the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), held in Minneapolis, and, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was authorized to sign the Interstate Amendment Act to the Constitution of the International Telecommunication Union.
He has represented the Communications Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan at major international telecommunications forums in more than 38 countries worldwide
Following structural changes in the Ministry’s leadership, he resigned from this position on April 26, 2004, at his own request.
2004, at the invitation of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he continued his professional activities in the field of telecommunications. Acting on the Minister’s recommendation, he organized the establishment of a telecommunications company to provide internet, telephone, and related services to transport enterprises operating nationwide.
On June 15, 2004, he was appointed General Manager of TransEvroKom LLC, a telecommunications company he founded, and has held this position since.
1999-2000, he completed advanced training in Strategic Studies and State Defense Management at the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and was awarded the military rank of Reserve Colonel.
2004-2007, pursued doctoral studies at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Technical Sciences by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Author and co-authored more than 25 scientific publications and a two monograph in telecommunications, published both in Azerbaijan and internationally.
In recognition of his professional achievements and contributions to the communications sector, he was awarded the honorary title of “Master of Communications” by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2011.
